World Backup Day, which is observed on March 31st, is to remind everyone to back up their important data before it is lost due to inadvertent deletion, hardware failures, or ransomware attacks. InfiniCLOUD strongly encourages you to regularly back up your data on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. World Backup Day is also an excellent opportunity to educate your friends and family about the importance of data backup and to refer a friend to InfiniCLOUD and get some extra storage capacity. |
What is a backup?
A backup is a copy of your files. This can include everything from photographs and movies to school or work papers, music, important emails, and so on. The purpose of a backup is to avoid storing all of these critical files in one spot by preserving them in a second, more secure location.
Why backing up your data is important
Data loss due to human error and device failure is more common than you may think. These losses can have an emotional and, in some circumstances, financial impact on many people and businesses. With the added threat of ransomware attacks, people that do not or very rarely back up their data risk losing crucial data and information.
Backing up your data on a regular basis is highly recommended to prevent these types of problems from occurring.
How can you back up your data?
Creating a regular backup schedule is an excellent way to protect your data. Your data is stored in a variety of locations, the majority of which are not the same place. InfiniCLOUD allows you to safely backup data from your PC, smartphone, tablet, and external hard drive.
