What is WebDAV?
WebDAV stands for Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning.
It is a set of extensions to the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) that enables user agents to collaboratively create, edit, and manage content directly on an HTTP web server. WebDAV includes tools for concurrency management and namespace operations to facilitate these functions.
Many popular web servers support WebDAV, ensuring proper implementation, and several operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux offer built-in support for WebDAV protocol communications.
